Nickelodeon radi na svojoj prvoj telenoveli, preradi meksičke "Alcanzar una estrella".

Quote
Six years after MyNetwork TV’s failed attempt to launch U.S. versions of Spanish-language telenovelas as daily primetime soaps, Nickelodeon is giving it a shot. The cable network, in partnership with Mexican TV giant Televisa, has ordered 80 episodes of a daily, one-hour U.S. adaptation of the popular Mexican telenovela Reach For A Star (Alcanzar una Estrella) for Nick at Nite. Reach For A Star, which follows a teenage girl whose life changes completely when she becomes a star and wins the love of her teen idol, will be produced in association with Sony Pictures TV, with filming slated to begin in March for a premiere later this year on Nickelodeon’s nighttime block. Nickelodeon has already had success with an imported primetime soap, Canadian teen drama Degrassi. Reach For A Star will be co-executive produced by Emmy-winner Jill Farren Phelps (General Hospital) and Hisham Abed (The Hills). Josh Griffith (Young And The Restless) will serve as head writer.

It’s officially a go for NBC’s comedy project from the Glee duo of Ryan Murphy and Allison Adler. The network has given a pilot order to The New Normal, a single-camera project co-written by Glee co-creator Murphy and Adler and to be directed by Murphy, which might be the last half-hour to snag a pickup at NBC this season. The Book Of Mormon star Andrew Rannells is set for one of 3 leads in the project, a heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple and the woman who becomes a surrogate to help them start a family. The comedy had been as close to a sure thing as it could be since NBC landed the pitch in a three-way bidding war with penalty said to be bigger than any other commitment for a half-hour project this season. Murphy and Adler were still writing the first draft when NBC moved on to hire a casting director to explore options for the 3 leads. Rannells was tapped as one of them last week. 20th Century Fox TV is producing, with Murphy, Adler and Ryan Murphy Prods.’ Dante Di Loreto executive producing. The New Normal was one of 2 comedy projects about a gay couple with kids that NBC put in development this season, along with a half-hour written by Peter Tolan starring Sean Hayes. I hear that one is not going forward. Meanwhile, the elementary school comedy from Alan Schoolcraft, Brent Simons and Will Gluck, which had a production commitment, has put preliminary casting on hold and is expected to be revisited in June. The order for The New Normal brings the number of NBC comedy pilots picked up so far to 13. NBC brass had said that they were looking to pick up 10-12 half-hour pilots, so this might be it for the network this year.

Normal i Ryan Murphy ne idu skupa.

Malo vijesti o FOX-u.

It’s been more than a week since Fox greenlighted its last drama pilot, and the long pause has been nerve-wracking for all writers and producers with hourlong scripts at the network. Back at TCA, Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly indicated that his plan was to pick up five drama pilots, so speculation has been rampant about which project would join the four already picked up: 2 shows about female spies, one from Karyn Usher and one from Josh Friedman; the Marc Guggenheim/Greg Berlanti legal drama Guilty; and a serial killer drama by Kevin Williamson. Over the past week, four projects have emerged as strong contenders — three developed internally and one spec, Travis Beacham’s adventure soapHieroglyph. The other three are Silvio Horta’s Latino family dramedy about 3 sisters, which was based on an idea by Reilly and has Jennifer Lopez attached as an executive producer; a medical drama from Josh Berman & Rob Wright; and a Wyatt Earp Western written by John Hlavin. (Fox currently is the only major network without a period drama pilot this season.) But as the field narrowed, a question emerged: “Will there be another Fox drama pilot slot?” I hear that there is a lot of debate at the network at the moment, with all sorts of scenarios floated — from picking up one more hourlong pilot as originally planned to going with two to stopping at the current four and transferring the budget to comedies. (Fox is considering both regular and off-cycle orders for the remaining contenders.) If Fox ultimately decides to pull the trigger on another drama pickup, Hieroglyph looks like the frontrunner at the moment, though things are still in flux.

Here is some of the rational behind Fox’s conundrum. When the network brass made the plan for five drama pilots, none of Fox’s midseason dramas had premiered. Since then, Alcatraz had a solid debut and held well in Week 2. New drama Touch had a strong preview behind American Idol this week. And even newbie The Finder, which looked DOA in its underwhelming premiere, has come back strong with two weeks of double-digit ratings growth. To add to that, bubble drama House returned from a long hiatus with a big ratings bump, also making a case for renewal. And the network also has Terra Nova awaiting word on a second-season pickup. With so many viable drama players for next season, plus The X Factor and American Idol, Fox may not need more than 1-2 new drama series for next season and thus the argument for fewer pilots. Whether Fox decides to pick up another pilot or not, it will likely end up behind the CW in drama pilot volume for the first time. The CW has already greenlighted five hourlong pilots and is not done yet.

ABC naručio 3 komedije i 2 drame.  :top:

ABC has given out 3 more pilot orders to comedy projects, How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, from Accidentally on Purpose creator Claudia Lonow; untitled buddy comedy from feature writer Adam Sztykiel (Due Date, Made of Honor); and And Only Fools And Horses, from Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley.

How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, a multi-camera/hybrid comedy produced by 20th Century Fox TV and studio-based Imagine Television, is in the mold of another 20th TV comedy, How I Met Your Mother – a multi-camera comedy that is shot without live audience and features more scenes than a regular sitcom — had a put pilot commitment. Based on Lonow’s own life, How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life, which can certainly vie for the longest series title crown, is described as an outrageous comedy with lots of heart. It centers on Polly, a recently divorced, single mom, who moves in with her eccentric parents, Elaine and Max, a couple who’s full of life but knows no boundaries.
This is the second pilot order for Lonow, who also has multi-camera comedy Counter Culture at ABC, written and executive produced by writer-actress Stephnie Weir and executive produced by Lonow.

The untitled Adam Sztykiel project, also from 20th TV, has received a showrunner-contingent order. Based on Sztykiel’s own experiences in a long-distance relationship, the show follows a group of 24-year-old guys who move to a new city, one of them choosing to stay in relationship even though his girlfriend is now 2,000 miles away. It is described as a raw, hilarious peek behind the curtain of modern 20-something relationships. In addition to writing, Sztykiel is executive producing with Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone of Kaplan-Perrone.

Cragg and Bradley’s multi-camera And Only Fools And Horses, from ABC Studios, is based on the British format. It follows the misadventures of two streetwise brothers who scrape by selling unreliable goods believing that at any moment they could become millionaires.

After picking up 3 comedy pilots this afternoon, ABC just gave the green light to 2 drama pilots, Americana and Nashville, both primetime soaps. The latter pickup is contingent on the project becoming a co-production between Lionsgate TV, which developed it, and ABC Studios.

Americana, from ABC Studios and studio-based Mark Gordon Co., is a soap set around a legendary fashion designer and his family and business. It was written by Michael Seitzman (North Country) who will executive produce with Mark Gordon and Mark Gordon Co.’s Nicholas Pepper. This is the third pilot order so far this season for Gordon’s company, along with the untitled Roland Emmerich drama and comedy White Van Man, both at ABC.

Nashville hails from Oscar-winning writer Callie Khouri and TV producer/documentary filmmaker RJ Cutler. Thelma & Louise scribe Khouri wrote the project, a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene that follows one star at her peak and one on the rise. Cutler (The September Issue) is set to direct. The two will executive produce with Nashville-based Gaylord Entertainment, which is being represented by SVP of Media and Entertainment Steve Buchanan. This marks Khouri’s return to ABC where she wrote, directed and executive produced the 2006 pilot Hollis & Rae. It is the second broadcast pilot order this season for leading cable producer Lionsgate TV, which had most active broadcast development season ever under new head of development Chris Selak. The company is also behind NBC’s comedy Next Caller Please. The pickups bring the number of drama pilots at ABC to 7, including supernatural dramas 666 Park Ave., fairytale Beauty and the Beast, the Shonda Rhimes-produced Gilded Lillys, Shawn Ryan’s Last Resort and the untitled Roland Emmerich project. The network is expected to greenlight more drama pilots on Monday.

ABC naručio pilot Scruples.  :D

ABC has greenlighted to pilot drama Scruples, produced by Tony Krantz and Natalie Portman. It is based on the 1978 bestselling book by Krantz’s mother, Beverly Hills novelist Judith Krantz, who also penned a sequel in 1992, and centers on a rich and powerful clothing designer in a world of sex, revenge and scandal. Bob Brush and Mel Harris wrote the adaptation and executive produce with Portman, her producing partner Annette Savitch and Krantz. Krantz’s Flame Ventures is producing with Warner Bros. TV, which has the rights to the property via the 1980 Scruples miniseries starring Lindsay Wagner, which it produced. The pilot order caps feature director Krantz’s successful return to TV producing this season as he also continues to be active in movies. Scruples marks the first foray into television for Portman, who won an Oscar last year for Black Swan.

A možda ih naruče u zadnji čas jer ABC još traži 2-3 dramska pilota.  :D

CBS je, as usual, žestoki facepalm.

Sitcome je teško suditi po konceptu...

Na CW više ni ne obraćam pozornost. :kava:

Ostatak, meh... Navijam jedino za Beautiful People i Last Resort... Iako sumnjam da će ABC naručit Last Resort - not their thang... :ne zna:

Gorane, evo ipak su naručili Devious Maids.  :D

Desperate Housewives may be on its way out, but ABC is staying in business with Marc Cherry and his Devious Maids — one of but four drama pilots the network picked up on Tuesday.

Based loosely on the Mexican telenovela The Disorderly Maids Of The Neighborhood, Devious follows four ambitious housekeepers who work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Cherry (pictured) will write and executive-produce the project, along with DH exec producer Sabrina Wind.

ABC’s other new drama pilot orders are:

* Gotham, from Michael Green (Everwood, Heroes), centers on a female cop who discovers that a magical world exists within New York City.

* Penoza follows the widow of an assassinated criminal who has to take over her husband’s role in a crime syndicate as a means of protecting her family. Melissa Rosenberg (Dexter, Twilight) is set to write and executive-produce the project.

* Zero Hour, from Paul Scheuring (Prison Break), tells the story of an editor at a skeptics magazine who is pulled into a bizarre conspiracy.

ABC’s previous pilot orders include a family comedy starring and exec-produced by Judy Greer, and a reimagining of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

ABC has added two more comedy pilots to it slate — the Reba McEntire starrer Malibu Country and Prairie Dogs. Both are produced by ABC Studios. The orders bring the number of in-cycle ABC comedy pilots so far this season to 9.

Malibu Country is a multicamera comedy starring the country star/actress as Reba who, after her “good ol boy” rock star husband cheats on her and burns through most of their money, divorces him and moves her family from Nashville to the only asset she has left — a little house in Malibu. There she’ll try to reignite her own singing career and keep herself and her three kids from being corrupted by the materialistic and rarefied Malibu world she now calls home. The project, which had a put pilot commitment, reunites McEntire with key auspices of her successful 2001 the WB sitcom Reba. Former Reba showrunner Kevin Abbott wrote Malibu Country and executive produces with McEntire and former Reba executive producers McEntire, Mindy Schultheis & Michael Hanel. Also exec producing the sitcom are McEntire’s manager Narvel Blackstock; Dave Stewart, formerly of the Eurythmics; and Laura Ziskin Prods’ Pam Williams. ABC has been bringing back to the fold veteran TV comedy stars including Tim Allen, who stars in freshman comedy series Last Man Standing, executive produced/showrun by Abbott, and Kirstie Alley, who is toplining off-cycle pilot The Manzanis.

Prairie Dogs, written/executive produced by Jackie Filgo & Jeff Filgo, centers on Neil, an uncool cubicle worker (“prairie dog”) at one of the coolest companies in the world, who becomes the victim of identity theft. When he discovers the thief  has created a much more fulfilling, kick ass life with his identity than he ever has, he engages the charismatic conman to help him change his life.

Prairie Dogs zvuči kao iznenađujuće dobar i potencijalno zabavan koncept :D

Reba moves to Malibu.

Former Friday Night Lights star Michael B. Jordan is re-teaming with the series’ executive producer Jason Katims. Jordan has been cast opposite Jason Ritter in Katims’ NBC drama pilot County. The Universal TV-produced project chronicles the lives of young doctors, nurses, and administrators in a frenetic underfunded and morally compromising LA County Hospital. Jordan will play one of them, Travis, a new intern at County who looks after his junkie sister’s daughter. Jordan, whose series credits include HBO’s The Wire, also recurred on Katims’ NBC series Parenthood. He currently stars in the movie Chronicle, which opened #1 last weekend. The actor, who was sought after this pilot season, is with UTA, the Schiff Co, and attorney Greg Slewett.

 :D

In what may be the last pilot order this season, Fox has given the green light to Goodwin Games, a single-camera comedy from How I Met Your Mother co-creators/executive producers Carter Bays & Craig Thomas and fellow HIMYM executive producer Chris Harris. The project had been cast-contingent on securing Ugly Betty alumna Becki Newton as one of the leads. After lengthy negotiations, Newton, who fielded several other pilot offers, agreed to board the project, triggering a pilot order. The Goodwin Games, from 20th Century Fox TV where Bays, Thomas and Harris are under deals, revolves around three siblings, one played by Newton, who reconnect after the death of their father. The project extends Newton’s relationship with Bays, Thomas and Harris — she currently recurs on How I Met Your Mother. I hear that the HIMYM stint actually came out of an early exploratory meeting the actress had with Bays and Thomas about Goodwin Games. The project landed at Fox in September with a big put pilot commitment after a bidding war. Newton is with UTA, Management 360 and attorney Rick Genow. Bays and Thomas are with UTA, Harris is with CAA and 3 Arts.

 :top:

After difficulties with casting, NBC has pushed production on its Munsters pilot to June. The project, a reboot of The Munsters titled Mocking Bird Lane, was written by Bryan Fuller, with Bryan Singer attached to direct. It joins another pilot with an early order, CBS’ Jon Favreau comedy Tweaked, which also was recently rolled to after the upfronts because of casting difficulties.

Privremeno odgođena produkcija Munstersa.

NBC naručio 13 epizoda Hannibala i pilot za Notorious.

NBC has pulled the trigger on a 13-episode order to Hannibal, a straight-to-series project from Gaumont International Television, written and executive produced by Bryan Fuller and executive produced by Martha DeLaurentiis. The project is described as a contemporary thriller series featuring the classic characters from Thomas Harris’ novel Red Dragon – FBI agent Will Graham and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter – who are re-introduced at the beginning of their budding relationship. The project was bought by NBC preemptively in November with a script against a 13-episode commitment, meaning that the project wouldn’t go through a pilot stage but straight to series if NBC brass liked the script. The network had a short window after receiving Fuller’s script to pick up the series, which it just did. This marks the second series order for GIT, launched in September with Katie O’Connell as CEO. The company also has a 13-episode pickup at Netflix for Hemlock Grove, an hourlong thriller/horror series executive produced and directed by Eli Roth. In addition to Hannibal, Fuller also has the Munsters reboot in the works at NBC. The pilot, Mockingbird Lane, was recently pushed to June because of difficulties with casting.

Also today, NBC gave a very late pilot order to Notorious, from Universal TV and BermanBraun. It is described as an opulent soap in which a female detective returns undercover to the wealthy family she grew up in – as the maid’s daughter – to solve the murder of the notorious heiress who was once her closest friend. Liz Heldens wrote it and is executive producing with Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun and Gene Stein. The project reunites Heldens and BermanBraun & NBC — she created the NBC/BermanBraun medical drama Mercy.

Gossip Girl, Melrose Place and Supernatural alumna Katie Cassidy is back at the CW as the female lead in the network’s pilot Arrow. The Warner Bros TV-produced project, a modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow, stars Stephen Amell as the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City. Cassidy will play Laurel, a young legal clinic attorney who shares a romantic past with Oliver. (In the comics, the character, Dinah “Laurel” Lance, has a superhero alter ego, Black Canary.) In Arrow, Cassidy joins Amell and Susanna Thompson, who was cast yesterday as Oliver’s mother, Moira Queen. David Nutter is directing the pilot, written/executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. On the feature side, Cassidy, repped by CAA and Anonymous Content, was most recently seen in Monte Carlo.

Michael Urie castan u CBSovom multi-cam sitcom pilotu sa Sophiom Bush, kojeg rade Will & Graceovci :D

Ovo je vjerojatno prvi multi-cam sitcom kojem se nadam/veselim since... well, forever :zubo:

Zašto? Mene bi brinulo da je bilo gdje drugdje :zubo: CBS je jedini koji uspješno uzgaja multi-camove :zubo: A i priča se da bi mogli proširiti blok četvrtkom na dva sata... :D

Ana Ortiz is back at ABC. The Ugly Betty alumna has been tapped to play the central character in the ABC pilot Devious Maids, from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Based on the Mexican format, the soap follows four maids with ambition and dreams of their own while they work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Leading the quartet is Marisol (Ortiz), a college-educated woman who has a secret agenda for finding work as a domestic in the upscale neighborhood. Her beloved son has recently been convicted of murder, and Marisol is intent on finding out what she can about the case. Ortiz joins recently cast Dania Ramirez. Ortiz, repped by Gersh, manager Geordie Frey and attorney Brad Small, most recently appeared in Martin Lawrence’s Big Mamma: Like Father Like Son and did an arc on HBO’s Hung.

Najs :D

Nije toliko bitna vijest za LaPagliu, koliko jedna rečenica u tekstu. :D

Anthony LaPaglia is returning to the small screen.
The Without a Trace actor has signed on to star in ABC’s Americana. The soapy drama, which hails from ABC Studios, revolves around a legendary fashion designer Robert Soulter (LaPaglia) and his family business.
The Aussie actor was a hot commodity this pilot season, with interest from both drama and comedy projects. Since Trace wrapped in 2009, LaPaglia has worked on such big screen projects as Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming spaghetti western Django Unchained.
He joins fellow castmember Natalie Mendoza, who will play the part of beautiful 30-something bitch, Wendy, in Americana. More recently, the actress best known for her work in British TV series Hotel Babylon played Arachne in the troubled Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. She was forced to depart due to an injury.
North Country scribe Michael Seitzman is attached to write and executive produce the New York-based drama alongside EPs Mark Gordon and Nicholas Pepper. Phillip Noyce
(Salt, Patriot Games) is on board to direct the pilot.
LaPaglia is repped by CAA, Industry Entertainment and Edelstein, Laird & Sobel.

Melrose Place alum Michael Rady is headed back to The CW in the medical-themed drama pilot First Cut, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The project, from former Gilmore Girls co-producer Jennie Snyder Urman, follows Emily, a newly-minted doctor as she discovers that life at the hospital where she works is no different than high school.

Rady, whose credits also include recurring gigs on Greek and (more recently) The Mentalist, will play a fellow doctor.

Also joining the cast is Kelly McCreary (White Collar) in the role of Tyra.

Urman penned the script and serves as an exec producer along with Dan Jinks (Pushing Daisies, Traveler).

Troje bivših Melrosovaca su castani u CW pilotima ove sezone. Plus još hrpa drugih glumaca iz otkazanih serija. CW stvarno voli reciklirati iste glumce.
