Gossip Girl, America's Next Top Model,90210 and Vampire Diaries were told they are 100% safe and could receive early renewals for next season.

Supernatural is also considered relatively "safe", there are some issues with its age making it slightly less safe in the above shows, but it is much more likely to be renewed than cancelled and could also make an early renewal.

The CW on the other hand told producers of Hart of Dixie, Nikita, Ringer and surprisingly The Secret Circle that they are "on the bubble". Their fates will likely depend on how much the CW likes their pilots and how many new shows they are willing to pickup.

Nikita producers were told they may be given a decision early so they can write a series finale arc in the final episodes.

Spike has canceled comedy Blue Mountain State after three seasons. The series, which chronicled the misadventures of a group of college football players, aired its last original episode in November. Zap2It reports that Lionsgate,the studio that produces the show, considered shopping it to other channels before releasing the actors from their contracts.
"Blue Mountain State" was initially a solid performer for Spike, surging in the ratings during its second season. The ratings declined sharply during season three. For example, the November 7th episode of the show garnered a low 0.36 rating among Adults 18-49. The show averaged approximately 900,000 total viewers during season three.
Spike has opted to shift its focus from scripted to reality programming. Sharon Levy, the exec VP of original series, told Variety, "For the near future, we are concentrating on unscripted. That's based on a strategy that is working."

By the beginning of February last year, the broadcast networks had renewed nine scripted series: ABC’s Modern Family, Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Castle, The Middle and Cougar Town, CBS’ The Big Bang Theory (three-year pickup) and NCIS and Fox’s Raising Hope. A month later, the number climbed to 10 with a two-year deal for CBS’ How I Met Your Mother. We’re at the end of February now, and the networks are yet to pick up a single existing scripted series for next season. That is a very unusual pattern as the broadcast networks normally like to reward their top performers with early renewals.

There is no doubt that shows like ABC’s Modern Family and Once Upon A Time, CBS’ 2 Broke Girls and NCIS or Fox’s New Girl will be back next season. And yet, two-and-a-half months before the upfronts, there is not a single scripted series except for those under multi-year deals (Big Bang, How I Met Your Mother, The Simpsons) to have their places on the schedule for next season already secured. The dry spell may finally be broken soon as Fox is nearing a decision on freshman Terra Nova, whose chances for renewal have increased over the past few weeks. As for the biggies, some of the pickups are clouded by uncertainty surrounding the cast, including Grey’s Anatomy (leads Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey), Two And A Half Men (Ashton Kutcher), and NBC’s The Office (Ed Helms, John Krasinksi). Still, it feels like the networks are just taking their sweet old time making renewals this year. They don’t have to pick up any shows until May, and it’s always easier making decisions after they have seen their pilots. The early orders were done mostly to please studios and showrunners, but they also created problems as the auspices of solid shows that didn’t get the early vote of confidence felt left out. So it’s “no early renewals, no problems” this year.

Although there are still 3 episodes to air this season, the cops on TNT's Southland are in hot pursuit of a renewal, and it looks like they will get there.

Turner brass are officially waiting until all the live+7 data is in, but a season 5 for Southland seems a given based on the current number-crunching and critical praise.

Ratings for the current 4th season are up from a season ago, and season 3 was better than season 2. Through the first 4 episodes this year, the skein is averaging 3 million viewers when including live+7 data. Both the 18-49 and 25-54 demos have also increased.

On Tuesday of this week, for the first time, Southland edged ahead of timeslot competitor White Collar on USA in adults 18-49.

Also working in Southland's favor is the series is a hit with TV critics. That wasn't enough for Men of a Certain Age, though, a year ago when the Ray Romano starrer got the ax. However, Men of a Certain Age had far inferior ratings to Southland and a split-season schedule didn't help.

Jer srijeda i pol četvrtka su rezervirani za XF, a s toliko sitcom pilota očito je da žele proširit broj sati posvećen njima, a sumnjam da će ih stavit ponedjeljkom konta HIMYMa i ko zna čega još

Danas je ključan dan za seriju

Gledam FOX jako često zadnjih dana, užasno promoviraju seriju - valjda će se isplatit
