Two and a Half Men
« on: 01 August, 2008., 02:57:11 CEST »

CBS (2003 - )

Emmy Award-nominated TWO AND A HALF MEN has been the #1 comedy on television for the past two seasons. It’s a comedy about men, women, sex, dating, divorce, mothers, single parenthood, sibling relations, surrogate families, money and, most importantly, love. More specifically, it's about the lives of two brothers, one brother's son and the many women who surround them. Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) is a well-to-do bachelor with a house at the beach, a Mercedes in the garage and an easy way with women. His casual Malibu lifestyle is interrupted when his tightly wound brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), and Alan's son, Jake (Angus T. Jones), come to stay with him. Complicating matters further are Charlie and Alan's narcissistic, emotionally toxic mother, Evelyn (Holland Taylor); Alan's deeply neurotic ex-wife, Judith (Marin Hinkle) and Charlie's domineering, unapologetically blue-collar housekeeper, Berta (Conchata Ferrell). Despite the complexities of their lives and their own strained relationship, Charlie and Alan have one thing in common--they both love Jake and want what's best for him. As a result, they manage to create a little family unit that promises to make each of them a better man.

Just an April Fools hoax?  Decide for yourself.  People reports that Charlie Sheen will be departing the hit comedy Two and a Half Men after this season, leaving the show a man down.
Charlie’s just done,” says a set source. “And he’s quietly telling his friends he’s not coming back.”
Although sources say the network hoped the star would sign a new contract for an eighth season, Sheen recently turned down the offer. “He wants to move on,” says a friend of the actor, whose contract is fulfilled after he tapes this season’s 22nd episode. “Leaving is 100 percent his idea.”
I don’t know if it’s an April Fools thing but even if it isn’t, he’ll be back.  I’m sure he’s spent.  I’m also sure he’s happy to negotiate in public for more money.  Either way, he’ll be back.

Charlie Sheen is with three porn stars in Las Vegas, but not all of them are created equal.  His #1 companion is Bree Olson.

Olson is 23 years old, and in 2008 won Best Anal Sex Scene at the AVN Awards.

Olson has range -- she was also a nanny on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

In the wake of recent comments made by series star Charlie Sheen — capped by a Thursday-morning tirade during a radio call-in — CBS and Warner Bros. TV have decided to shut down production on Two and a Half Men‘s eighth season.
“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season,” the network and studio said in a statement.
Men was to resume production this coming Monday, taping only four out of this season’s eight remaining episodes.

UPDATE: Sheen reacted to the shut-down via an open letter posted to TMZ, saying in part, “I gracefully ignored [series creator Chuck Lorre's] folly for 177 shows…. I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power…. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show … to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.”
Until now, Sheen had largely made light of the situation he put Two and a Half Men‘s producers, cast and crew in by prompting a temporary halt in production as he pursued at-home rehab. But during a Thursday-morning call-in to The Alex Jones Show, he put to the test his bosses’ threat to pull the plug on TV’s most-watched sitcom if he crossed any lines.

For one, Sheen called Lorre a “clown” and “charlatan,” as well as directed a somewhat anti-Semitic nickname his way. He also boasted of embarrassing Lorre “in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that this unevolved mind cannot process.”

Of his time on Men, Sheen said, “I’ve spent close to the last decade… effortlessly and magically converting [Lorre's] tin can into pure gold.”
Addressing the prospect that the series might recast his role, Sheen shrugged, “Whatever. Do what you’ve got to do. I’ll go make movies with superstars and not work with idiots.”

But the straw that broke CBS and WBTV’s collective back may have come with comments Sheen made to TMZ when the entertainment news site asked him to follow up on his radio interview. “I violently hate Chaim Levine [aka Chuck Lorre]. He’s a stupid, stupid little man and a p—y punk that I’d never want to be like,” Sheen said. “You can tell him one thing: I own him.”

  Možda se sad oslobodi mjesto na rasporedu za Mad Love :zubo:

Crko sam na ovo  :

To paraphrase TV critic (and president of the Television Critics Association) Susan Young,  CBS and Warner Bros were OK if Charlie Sheen attacked his wife or binged on drugs and alcohol, but talking trash about the boss in public was more than they could tolerate.

Postoji velika šansa da se serija uopće ni ne vrati najesen u novoj sezoni.

Have Viewers Seen the Last of TV’s Most-Watched Comedy? | If you don’t mind a second viewing of double entendres, no. At last count, CBS has Two and a Half Men repeats (which happen to perform very, very well in the ratings) scheduled through at least the end of March, and likely beyond. And as for any fresh episodes being unfurled in the fall, it’s not looking good. Chances are the series finale aired last week.

Zamjeniti njega u ovoj seriji? Lakše zamjeniti Dextera u Dexteru.

It's over for Charlie Sheen on the hit CBS comedy Two and a Half Men. The series producer Warner Bros. TV just released the following statement: "After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately."

Just like the studio did with its previous statement announcing the cancellation of Two and a Half Men for the rest of this season, Warner Bros. TV stopped short of announcing the end of the series, meaning that continuing the sitcom with a new actor next season is a possibility. Two and a Half Men has one more season under a multi-year pickup at CBS. There has been a lot of speculation about CBS and Warner Bros. TV putting together a wish list of actors to potentially succeed Sheen on the show, with names like John Stamos and Rob Lowe bandied about.

Sheen's termination by Warner Bros. TV follows a relentless media blitz by the Two and a Half Men star who has been taking numerous swipes at CBS, Warner Bros. and the show's co-creator executive producer Chuck Lorre over the past 2 weeks. He also launched a Web-based series, Sheen's Korner, and is in talks with Mark Cuban's HDNet for unscripted/talk show projects.

Today's decision is sure to fuel a new legal war between Sheen and Warner Bros. In preparation, the studio last week hired top attorneys Ron Olsen and John Spiegel. Sheen's litigation lawyer, Marty Singer, last Monday fired a letter to the studio demanding that Sheen is paid in full for the 8 unproduced episodes of the show's current eighth season but so far, the actor had refrained from launching a full-blown lawsuit against Warner Bros.

This is a sad end to one of the most successful sitcom runs for an actor. For the past (almost) eight seasons on Two and a Half Men, Sheen reinvigorated his career, amassing a fortune along the way. Under his most recent contract for the show, he commanded $1.5 million-$2 million an episode.

SCANDAAAAAL  Mwahahaha :vidiga: Cancel it :lux:

Charlie Sheen may have made "winning" the word of the moment through a series of bizarre rants that started in February, but in the eyes of his audience at the first stop on his one man show that will travel across North America, he seemed to be losing. The people who packed the Fox Theatre in Detroit on Saturday night for Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth booed as the actor, who took the stage around 9 p.m., launched into a series of nonsensical rants from behind a podium.

Charlie Sheen has been hinting about a possible return to Two and a Half Men for the past week. Tonight, he dropped the biggest hint so far in a radio interview with Boston's sports station WBZ-FM. "There've been discussions, but I was asked not to divulge anything," he said of a potential comeback, which is being complicated by the $100 million lawsuit Sheen filed against Warner Bros. TV and Men co-creator Chuck Lorre as well as the slew of viscous insults he fired against both. On his first New York show on Friday, Sheen extended an olive branch to Lorre. "Of course, I want my job back," he said then. In another sign of contrition, in tonight's interview Sheen seemed to acknowledge he had crossed a line. "Had they told me at the end of Season 8 that that behavior wasn't going to be cool, I would have adjusted it," he said. Helping Sheen's case somewhat is the fact that CBS' Monday lineup has taken a ratings hit lately with no original Men. Meanwhile, Sheen also said he is not getting syndication payments for Men now that he has been fired from the show and embroiled in litigation with the studio behind it.

Iskreno, ne bi me čudilo da je ovo sve namještaljka... Jer možete si mislit kolika će bit gledanost serije ako se Sheen vrati
