The CW is developing a drama project that will spotlight the lives of male and female models living in New York City. The two main players are Christopher, a 22-year-old catalog model, and 15-year-old Reyna, dubbed the 'next Heidi Klum.' The plot is based on real life experiences of Adam Giaudrone, an aspiring model-turned-writer, and the project is being developed by Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Film company.

What works: Expertly cast and brimming with chemistry, "The Beautiful Life" is a flat out joy to watch. Sara Paxton and Ben Hollingsworth have an undeniable spark that permeates the entire show, one of that somehow manages to capture the lightning in a bottle that is being young and discovering the world. And while the modeling profession has been dissected to death on television as of late, Adam Giaudrone has found a surprisingly engaging lens to view it through in Raina and Chris. More importantly, "Life" taps not only the obvious touchstones - drugs, sex and lies - but also the simple concept that the modeling profession operates on a fleeting whim, that there's no rhyme or reason to it. Chris and Raina are kindred spirits in that they both realize that and yet still manage to find the good inside themselves (look for Azure Ray's "Sleep" as their go to theme for moon-eyed navel gazing). It's an intoxicating premise, one that hopefully won't get lost in feeding the typical teen show machine. The rest of the cast likewise proves to be uniformly top notch, including Barton's Sonja, a potential Ghost of Christmas Future for Raina; and Macpherson's Claudia, the confident architect of her brood's careers. Both bring a fun, meta edge to the proceedings that compliments our heroes' journeys.

What doesn't: Being a grown man and having to confess I really enjoyed the teen modeling show...

The bottom line: ...because I really did.

Jaime Murray is the newest Beautiful person.

Sources tell us exclusively that the British actress, best known for her turn as wicked Lila Tournay on season two of Dexter, has joined the cast of the CW's The Beautiful Life for a multi-episode arc.

But where does the new girl fit in to the fashion-crazed world of TBL? Here's what we're hearing...

According to insiders, Murray plays Vivienne, a powerful wardrobe stylist who has eyes for Corbin Bleu's character, a young model named Isaac. Look for an age-inappropriate liaison between the two characters. Corbin's Isaac is one of a group of young models trying to make it in the supercompetitive world of New York City couture. His fellow fine young things include Sara Paxton, Ashley Madekwe, Nico Tortoella and Ben Hollingsworth.

The Beautiful Life premieres Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on the CW.

Nažalost, sumnjam

CW očito pokušava provokativnim posterima privuć publiku... Za svaku vražju seriju

Mislim, nije puno pomoglo ni GG al dobro ajd

BTW, ovo što piše na posteru "TV to talk about" im sad stalno stoji iznad logoa dok se emitiraju serije

Puno je bolje od raznih sranja na CW-u, ali jasno da neće uspjeti i da će biti otkazana nakon tri epizode

Da, nije tako loša serija

Al to je sve u zadnji čas sve sklepano nekako, kritičari su dobili 20-minutni preview jer pilot nije bio gotovo do zadnjeg časa... Casting za onu žensku iz Dextera i Valentinea je objavljen prije par tjedana, a ženska je bila u pilotu

), scenarij i priča su okej...

Od sve tri nove CWove serije, VD mi je najgora a najveći je uspjeh

Šta drugo očekivat od CWa?
