With 13 nominations, romantic fable "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" led the parade as the nominations for the 81st Annual Academy Awards were announced Thursday morning.

Its competition in the best picture race includes the political dramas "Frost/Nixon" and "Milk," the post-Holocaust tale "The Reader" and the Mumbai-set rags-to-riches story "Slumdog Millionaire."

"The Dark Knight," the most popular movie of the year, was frozen out of the best picture race, though Heath Ledger received a posthumous nom for his role as the Joker.

The best actor nominees include Richard Jenkins for "The Visitor," Frank Langella for "Frost/Nixon," Sean Penn for "Milk," Brad Pitt for "Button" and Mickey Rourke for "The Wrestler."

Best actress nominees are Anne Hathaway for "Rachel Getting Married," Angelina Jolie for "Changeling," Melissa Leo for "Frozen River," Meryl Streep for "Doubt" and Kate Winslet for "The Reader."

Winslet's nomination for playing a former concentration camp guard in "The Reader" proved a particular surprise since the actress had been promoted for the lead actress slot for her performance in "Revolutionary Road," while it had been suggested to the Academy that she be nominated for a supporting role "The Reader."

This year, all the best picture nominees also earned their respective directors best director noms. Making the list are David Fincher for "Button," Ron Howard for "Frost/Nixon," Gus Van Sant for "Milk," Stephen Daldry for "The Reader" and Danny Boyle for "Slumdog Millionaire."

posto sam dokumentarac o oramarima skinula idem malo vužgati torrente.. pa da i ja nesto pogledam ovaj vikend..

Jedno pitanje: Pro7 prenosi original, bez prevoda, sinhronizacije i tih gluposti? Kolika je vremenska razlika izmedju njih i New Yorka, 6 sati? 
I da, Slumdog i Curious case gledam ovaj vikend. Nadam se

bilo bi fora kad bi mogla spojit satelitsku i komp

Ja uvijek gledam na makedonska televizija uzivo od negdje 11/12 uvecer jer tad pocinje Red Carpet a meni je to jos uzbudljivo, tad me uhvata ono pravi feeling, i gledam do dalje do kraj, a svaki put 2. mjesec sam prvu smenu na skolo tako ce biti i ovaj put, al valjda cu se poslije skola naspavati 

Ja ocekujem Slumdog Millionaire za najbolju muziku, a za film vec sam rekao izmedzu njega i Benjamin Button 

Uf, meni je veljača ubitačna, i Oscari i Superbowl u razmaku od 3 tjedna, dvije nedjelje kad ću ići spavat u 6 ujutro, a ustajat se u 7 za školu

Al isplati se Slumdog all the way

Ja sam ovaj vikend htio pogledati The Readera, al nikako nisam našao vremena... A valjd ću nać vremena prije Oscara I onda još imam Changeling i VCB za odgledat
