Emma is written by Jane Austen and adapted for television by Sandy Welch. Emma lives in the town of Highbury, where she acts as a matchmaker for friends and acquaintances as she attempts to pair them off. Not all of her efforts are a success though.

Emma is a four-part BBC television drama serial adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Emma, (originally published in 1815). Filming began in April 2009 in Kent. Episode one of Emma was broadcast on BBC One on Sunday October 4th 2009.

Jane Austen's period drama is adapted by Bafta-winning writer Sandy Welch. Starring Johnny Lee Miller (Eli Stone), veteran award-winning actor Michael Gambon and Robert Bathurst (Cold Feet).

Solidna prva epizoda.Nije baš uobičajeno za BBC ,ali casting i gluma su dosta loši (IMHO).Priča mnogo puta ispričana,no još uvijek nije dosadna...
